Next season, FAU moves to a higher level conference for the second time.
Kelly also took over the board of trustees that oversees the university system, which maintains a legislative mandate to tie university funding to performance indicators rather than enrollment. Every June, universities must submit an "accountability plan" to the Board of Trustees. Kelly masterfully embraced the new Tallahassee policy.
