Lunar Fishing Calendar June 2023
Lunar Fishing Calendar June 2023 – The saltwater fishing calendar has to be one of the most confusing topics in the fishing community. Walk into your favorite store and mention fishing by the moon, and you'll instantly become best friends with half the room. The other half would shake their heads or scream.
Many professional anglers swear by the way they think about the moon. They throw their biggest fish at the speed of the world. And that is very often. Major fishing magazines often have a monthly fishing calendar. There are many similar programs.

Is there any truth in all the information about the moon? Or just "starfish"? That is what we find here.
What Fly Fishing Teaches Us 2023 Wall Calendar
The year was 1926, and John Alden Knight came up with a strange theory about all the wild animals.

Knight was an avid nature lover and fan of flying. In his spare time, he also enjoyed learning about the beliefs and legends associated with fishing and hunting. He researched the factors that influence the behavior and eating habits of animals. This became his life's work.
The knight collected 33 items related to fishing and game. He analyzed each theory and eventually rejected all but three. All he had left was the sun, the waves and the moon. He couldn't see how any of them could explain how fish behaved. But what if you combine them?

Each month has four seasons – two "major" and two "minor". The main periods last about two hours. It starts when the Moon is above our heads (called a "lunar trip") or below our feet ("anti-lunar trip"). The short seasons last about an hour when the moon rises and sets. The idea is that fish are active four times a day.
Now, an increase in activity doesn't mean the fish are going to bite anytime soon. But because the fish must be out there

Foraging for many anglers can mean one thing – fish money. Pisces is more affected by big times than small, so Moon worshipers can play their game.

Big moon fishing doesn't get any easier. You are looking at the solar chart. It tells you when the moon is at its best. Catch lots of big fish. However, it is clear that not every day ends with a pile of trophies. With this in mind, there is one more thing to consider – choosing the right phase of the moon.

Anglers must consider four phases – new moon, first quarter, full moon and last quarter. Many anglers swear that 90% of your live catch will come from the new moon.
The idea of moonlight fishing is that the higher the tide, the faster the fish will move. Strong tides occur twice a month: for a new moon, the Sun and Moon pull in the same direction, and for a full moon they pull in both directions.

Of course, this is not something that all young people agree with. As with all fishing, there are many people who will give you different advice. He will insist that the best part of the fishing month is the first and last part.
Some people say that fishing should only be done at night during a full moon. There is a theory here that moonlight helps fish see better. This allows them to eat until nightfall, so they feel hungry the next day. Likewise, you should only fish during the new moon during the day, because you cannot fish in complete darkness.

Periods and parts are two parts of a whole. Go fishing in prime time

No matter how good the bite is, caution should always be exercised when fishing during a full or new moon. This is especially true at night, especially if you are fishing from rocks or piers. In some parts of the world, waves can reach a height of 40-60 meters, and the water rises very quickly. Don't put yourself at risk for a small opportunity to hook up.

Even if you have a lot of faith in the moon, chances are your fishing will go wrong. Other factors such as weather and air pressure can have a greater influence than the moon. If a cold front is approaching, even two months won't help much. The fish is probably hiding from the cold and weakness.
There are certain things the moon does. Many saltwater fish time their spawning with the tides so that currents pull their larvae into safer, shallower areas. The fluids also bring nutrients from the ocean floor. Bait fish eat this food and predatory fish eat the bait. We also fish. It's the cycle of life.

But what about the same moon theory? Has any of this been proven true? In other words, can it be backed up by any valid scientific research?
Expressing his opinion, John Alden Knight tried to analyze in detail the conditions of the moon during the fishing of 200 large fish and the history of fish. He found that 90 percent of them happened during the new moon. Based on these insights, he focused his future research on this part of the tidal calendar.

Another experiment that seems to agree with Knight's theory was done by Dr. Frank A. Smeđa. Brown was a biologist at Northwestern University. One day he ordered a large number of oysters to be transported to his laboratory. However, the fish feast did not pass. Instead, they wanted to investigate whether the snails were affected by the movement of the moon.

Oysters usually open their shells at low tide, and for the first two weeks they continued to open with the tide at home. After two weeks, however, they changed their rhythm to match when the moon was above or below their feet—the two main periods of the lunar day.

Enough evidence? not really. As it turns out, many studies seem to contradict key assumptions of the theory.
In 2010, Professor Mike Allen published his research on the effect of the moon on largemouth bass. They wanted to see if there was any evidence that the moon's changes affected the timing of sea bass spawning or the price of the fish.

In Fisherman Solunar Best Times To Fish Calendar Explained
Allen enlisted the help of Porter Hall, a successful bass angler with hundreds of fish in the 10+ pound range. Hall kept detailed records of every fish he caught. Professor Allen explained how his relationship was linked to the lunar calendar. Apparently, not so well.
The bite is pretty consistent every month. 21 percent of the fish were landed under the new moon. Twenty-eight percent of the full moon. In short, about half of the fish were caught in the first half of the month, and the first and last part served the other 49%.

So the big cheesy eagle in the sky has nothing to do with seafood. That is understandable. There is less water to move around in a pond than in the ocean. A real nail in the coffin would be equivalent to evidence of marine life.

A few years after Professor Allen published his findings on bass, Sam Mossman of Marlin magazine decided to do the same on larger fish. More specifically, they decided to investigate whether striped marlin bites have anything to do with the moon's orbit around us.

To actually test this theory, Mossman needed data. A lot of information. He contacted New Zealand's Bay of Islands Swordfish Club, the second oldest club in the world, and asked to see their records. Being good people, they gave Mossman access to all their yearbooks from 1929 onwards.
After a week of crunching numbers in notebooks, Mossman had the data he needed. In Marlin's eighty-fourth year, everything was prepared for a part of the captured moon. So how did the moon theory come about? not good

Fishing And Moon Phases
On average, the best time to fish was before the full moon. The worst is over. The numbers rose again in the first quarter. However, in general, the performance was the same in each part of the month. It was good fishing no matter what was in the air.
It is clear that the moon affects fishing. This causes waves. However, other factors such as weather and water temperature have a significant influence. The reality is that each moon phase will produce the best and worst fish of the month.

But most importantly,
