Dr. Yuan currently serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical and Administrative Affairs at the American University of Health Sciences School of Pharmacy. Dr. Yuan has extensive pharmaceutical practice and consulting experience in both psychiatric hospitals and retail pharmacies, specializing in adolescent and adult clinical psychiatry and psychopharmacology.

As an experienced clinical pharmacist, Dr. Yuan has worked as a director of pharmacy and clinical pharmacy in an inpatient psychiatric hospital for more than 11 years. Before working as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital, he also had several years of experience as a pharmacist and pharmacy manager in retail pharmacies. Dr. Yuan lectures to pharmacy students, Pharm.D. student and resident in various pharmacy schools for over 13 years.

Dr. Yuan has extensive experience in pharmacy management in both acute psychiatric care and retail settings. He is highly skilled in performance management, clinical protocol development, policy and procedure development, best practice implementation, and student/resident development in pharmacy.

Bio- Dr. Fazalbhai completed his PharmD from Western University of Health Sciences and received his MS from the Medical College of Virginia. He is a registered pharmacist in the state of California and is also licensed as an Advanced Practice Pharmacist. She is board certified in pharmacotherapy and currently works as a clinical pharmacist at Aurora Charter Oak Hospital in Covina, California. He is also AAHIVP certified and has worked in HIV medicine in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Dr. Khan brings more than 10 years of experience in community practice, pharmacy management, and medication therapy management to the School of Pharmacy. Prior to joining, Dr. Khan worked with independent pharmacies and physician practices developing medication management and regulatory compliance processes. He has managed several pharmacies and has trained many trainee pharmacists and pharmacists who have become successful pharmacy managers. Dr. Khan has been active in educating seniors about medication adherence, chronic conditions, and the benefits of Medicare Part D prescription drugs. He also provides medication management at several senior living facilities. Dr. Han is currently a member of the Korean American Pharmacists Association of California.

Dr. Hussain defended his Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo, Texas, and B.S. Doctor of Pharmacy from Kakatiya University in India. Prior to joining, Dr. Hussain served as an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Louisiana and the University of Oklahoma. He has taught various courses for professional pharmacists and graduate students including, but not limited to, pharmacology, drug pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, physical pharmacology, improved drug delivery and targeting, pharmaceutical technology, medical microbiology, and biotechnology. He has done many M.S. and Ph.D. student throughout his career.

Dr. Hussain's research interests are mainly in the field of inhaled delivery of proteins and peptides. He is currently investigating ways to improve drug absorption by non-invasive routes in laboratory animals and understanding the mechanisms of macromolecular drug transport in vitro. Dr. Hussain is also passionate about student learning and applies new teaching and learning methods in the classroom and laboratory. He has been active in teaching and learning scholarship since joining in 2020.

In terms of his leadership experience, Dr. Hussain is a former Chairman of the Department of General Education. He currently works as an assistant dean for student affairs and admissions in the Faculty of Pharmacy.
