K State 2023 Calendar – We hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The staff at K-State and Dining Services are excited to welcome you to your campus community!

Residences open at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2023 for the spring semester. Students who plan to arrive early can move in as early as 1 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 with an additional charge of $50.00 per day for each day prior to the official opening.

And Dining Services will notify all residents via K-State email when move-in dates become available. Residents can expect to receive this email in December. All residents must fill out the required information and make an appointment.

The Housing Handbook includes important policies and procedures. Residents are responsible for following the terms of the handbook, including specific procedures related to COVID-19. Each resident should review the Residence Manual in its entirety. An updated calendar with important dates is also included in the manual. The calendar is updated every year in late June or early July.

Once registration is available, we strongly recommend that you select it as soon as possible. Some days/times will fill up quickly for some accommodations. If necessary, students can change the day and time in the system until 5 p.m. the day before arrival. Please do not come to check in on a different day or time than you have chosen. We cannot accommodate those who do not have a check-in or those who arrive outside of working hours.

Be sure to print the appointment confirmation (one copy for each vehicle you bring to the unloading). You can find this confirmation in your K-State mailbox or on the registration website under "View/Print Appointment".

Please note that all residents must check-in at least 24 hours prior to arrival. Please take a few moments to update your emergency contact information and select an arrival time.

Once the appointment is created, an email will be sent to your @k-state.edu email address. Print the email and put it on your dashboard for your arrival.

When you arrive on campus, go to your residence hall reception to check your arrival on campus and to have your gate activated for access and meals.

Calendar & Start Times

Please park in the places closest to the building only when unloading the vehicle. Once unloading is complete, move your vehicle to larger land nearby. Please note that parking meters will be in effect during this time.

Family members can help move items, but must be registered at the front desk as guests. If you have large or multiple items, bring your small stroller or stroller to speed up your movement.

If you have symptoms associated with COVID-19 or have tested positive within 10 days of arrival, DO NOT return to your accommodation unless your isolation/quarantine period has ended. Call 785-313-3404 or email hdsmoves@k-state.edu to schedule a visit in January if this applies to you.

The first meal for the spring semester will be breakfast on Monday, January 16th in Kramer Restaurant. See the Dining Room page for hours and menus. Students may eat in any dining hall when it is open. For more information, follow our food service updates on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.

As a reminder to our residents, please leave your Synekis machine on and running at all times. Synekis machines have proven to be extremely useful in reducing the presence of mold among other benefits – research shows that they can remove more than 99.99% of the airborne delta variant of SARS-CoV-2 in 90 minutes.

For more information on a healthy and safe return to college, follow announcements shared through K-State Today and visit the K-State COVID-19 website The board approved Option 3 of the proposed timelines, which was chosen by more than 60% of all respondents in surveys from the district calendar as well as the favorites of each stakeholder group.

A total of 13,698 responses to the weather survey were received, with option 1 receiving 25% of the vote, option 2 receiving 13% of the vote, and option 3 being the overwhelmingly popular choice with 61% of the vote.
