Salary: $200 per day, $240 per day in school years 22-23 after 10 days of service on the same project
Glendale Unified School District substitute teachers work in any or all of our schools. They follow the lesson plans of an absent teacher for a day or so. Must have good teaching skills to continue teaching when teacher is absent. Must be technology savvy to view and select daily substitution assignments posted by teachers in the web-based substitution program.

California waived specific basic skills requirements for all 30-day substitute teacher license applicants effective 1/1/23 for the entire calendar year. This means that the previously required CBEST or equivalent is no longer required. Possess or qualify for a subject 30-day replacement certificate. Preference for qualified teachers. Proficiency in another language such as Spanish, Armenian, Korean, Japanese, German, French or Italian is preferred. Diploma in Special Education is also preferred.
