Since the campus is now open, everyone must cover their face or wear a mask when in public or in front of other people. The university plans to provide disposable face masks to every student, faculty and staff at the start of the semester. Students who forget or intentionally do not wear a face mask may not attend class directly until they return with a mask. In addition, Butler requires students and staff to complete daily online health checks before arriving on campus or leaving residence halls. During the health checkup, symptoms of corona virus will be observed and temperature will be checked. Before Butler returns in the fall, the university requires students to undergo a Butler health screening and coronavirus test at least seven days before arriving on campus.

If students test positive for the coronavirus, they must return to their permanent residence. If a student is unable to return home, his/her individual case will be reviewed by the Separation Assistance Committee Further committee approval allows students to stay on campus and they will be housed in separate rooms for at least 14 days.
