Best Disneyland Crowd Calendar

Many of the most common questions we get about Disneyland are based on when is the best time to go to Disneyland. What is the least common time? Will it be busy this weekend? Is it time for summer break? Is vacation a time to relax? To answer these questions, many people turn to the Disney Mult Calendar. But are they right? Good question!
Disneyland 2022 Crowd Calendar
A few years ago, the Disney group calendars were fantastic. Just choose the time of year you want to go to Disneyland, quickly check the Disney crowd calendar and list your dates when the crowds were down. But in recent years, Disneyland public calendars have not been so reliable. We have some ideas why. First, we'll look at some of the factors that go into creating a Disney audience calendar and why they may or may not be right.

For an overview of what to expect at Disneyland this year, check out our Disney Audience Calendar below. Be sure to pin it to save it for later when making your travel plans!
In our Disneyland crowd calendar shown above, we've taken the following into account when considering how busy it will be at Disneyland:

School holidays are one of the most obvious things to think about when creating calendars for people. But it is important to remember that there are many different things when it comes to leaving school. School districts in the same states do not have the same spring and fall holidays. Considering that some school districts rotate schedules throughout the year, the popularity of homeschooling has increased and many charter schools may or may not follow the school vacation schedule again. Remember, just because your kids are taking the school holidays doesn't mean everyone else is. The opposite is also true. Just because your kids are in school doesn't mean everyone is in the category.
One thing that has affected the reliability of the calendars for the Disney audience is Disney special events. Because Disney audience calendars tend to miss past data, when Disney announces a new event or changes the dates of an existing special event, it moves people.

In recent years, Disneyland Resort has added many seasonal events, so there is almost no "down" time in the parks. In the past, many of these holidays and events were announced shortly before they began, making it impossible to add them to the group's current calendars. In 2020 alone, the Disneyland Resort has had and/or will have the following special and seasonal events:

Looking at this list, you can easily see that there is a lot going on at the resort. Some offers bring more people. Because the seasonal offers are extended, it makes it difficult to predict the current and/or future people.

In 2019, we have rumors that Jessie's Critter Carousel will open at Pixar Pier in April. So one would think that the crowd would be a little bigger than that and the summer holidays combined. But Disneyland finally has a soft opening of the carousel at the end of March. If a yearling was at the park that day, they may have changed their April plans because they had Jsie's Critter Carousel earlier than expected. As a result, the calendar of the April group may be interrupted. Also, with something unprecedented like Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opening at Disneyland on May 31, 2019, we expected completely unexpected reactions from people. As one of the biggest additions to Disneyland ever, the folks at Galaxy's Edge certainly surprised us. When we visited the new Star Wars land in person over the weekend, we saw an unprecedented amount of PASI people compared to our expectations. While we're not exactly sure why the crowds were so unpredictable in 2019, we have a feeling many guests will be waiting until Rise of the Resistance, the e-ticket attraction of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, on January 17 opened in 2020. . , with Rise of the Resistance in action, we think people will step up a bit.
Another factor that is used to create the Disney audience calendars are the closing dates for the various annual pass holders. This is also unpredictable. For example, just this year Disney launched a single park pass, introduced park-specific closing dates for the first time AND opened up a bunch of closed dates. So, just because a day or weekday was closed last year doesn't mean it will be the same this year or next year. Or even next month for that matter!

Conventions are one thing that affects people at Disneyland. Every year there are several major conventions at the Anaheim Convention Center that draw more than the Disneyland Resort crowd. For example, January used to be the slowest time of year for Disneyland, but visitors were often surprised when they tried to visit in late January when their dates fell under the NAMM Convention (National Association of -Music). This convention alone brings around 100,000 participants. Guess how many of them go to Disneyland too! Also, most of the fun and competitive sports take place in Anaheim during the summer. These events are often included in many people's calendars, but when families decide to make these competitive trips into family vacations, they can also affect the numbers.
Although it is not surprising that the opening of a new ride or land in Disneyland increases the number of people in Disneyland, sometimes the dates can surprise. For many years it was unusual to open a new world or attraction every time. However, in recent years it seems like every year there has been some new ride, big show or even an open space. But this does not always make things predictable if you want to predict the audience. For example, in 2017, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! opened for Memorial Day weekend. However, in 2019, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opened on May 31, 2019, surprising everyone who thought it wouldn't launch until late summer or fall.

Now that we've covered what goes into creating Disney audience calendars and why they may not be as accurate as they used to be, let's talk about the value of audience calendars. You may wonder why you would even want to use a social calendar in your planning. With all of the above, we still think there is value in Disney's crowdfunding calendars.
The Disneyland Crowd Calendar; An Illustration Of Some Fun Facts
As long as you remember that people's predictions are not hard science and are guaranteed to be accurate, you can use them to your advantage. For example, if you are looking at one week over another week in a month, you can get an idea of which week or month is likely to be less busy than another by using a public calendar. One thing to keep in mind when looking at many people's calendars is to also look at the same calendars. As events are announced, public calendars are updated to try to attend.

Another way to check how accurate the Disneyland crowd calendar is is to check the hotel prices for the days you travel. If the hotels near Disneyland have high prices, it is usually because they expect more guests on those days. Therefore, the higher the hotel room rate, the more crowded Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park can be.
Also, if bad weather suddenly appears on your Disneyland vacation, the public calendar may not have time to adjust. Therefore, the change in the expected crowd is not seen when in fact many residents abandon their planned visit and avoid Disneyland in the water. This can be very useful for someone who is visiting Disneyland from out of town, because that person does not have to cancel their vacation because of rain.

Best Days To Visit Disneyland 2019
Whether you use the Disneyland public calendar or not, we always recommend having as many days at the Disneyland Resort as possible. With our Free Day Tickets you can get a 5-Day Park Hopper or 5-Day 1-Day Park Tickets for the price of just 4 days! This means you have five full days to visit the parks, giving you flexibility if weather or crowds mess up your original plans.
Although there is no official Disneyland crowd calendar issued by Disney itself, there are several options when it comes to the crowd calendar. There isn't one calendar that stands out, but we've picked two of our favorites and broken down what we love about them.

The Mickey Visit monthly Disney crowd calendar is useful because it not only provides an estimate of the crowd, but also the weather. This can help not only to understand what
