West Chester University said Friday it would resume online classes in the fall due to the coronavirus pandemic, but other Pennsylvania State universities are planning in-person classes.
Each of the 14 colleges and universities in Pennsylvania's public higher education system develops its own strategy for teaching students in the fall semester. The system's board voted last month to provide universities with a standard framework but with the flexibility to design their own plans.
"We have 14 campuses in 14 different counties, all with unique facilities." State system spokesman David Pidgeon said.
