Ung Academic Calendar Fall 2023 – Johansson Entrepreneurship Faculty Members (formerly Coleman Faculty Members) reside in Fresno State schools and departments. Students in all disciplines have included elements of entrepreneurship education in their curriculum with the aim of motivating them to apply knowledge by fostering an entrepreneurial mindset. Today, an active collaborative network of 20 full-time faculty members sits across the university and integrates entrepreneurial thinking into their teaching.

In my opinion, this is probably the most effective interdisciplinary program Fresno State has ever had! I have always benefited from my interactions with my colleagues on campus and over the years, which have given me the opportunity to collaborate on various projects in various disciplines.
We offer entrepreneurship content in a number of local and planning courses in the Department of Geography and Town and Regional Planning. I think it's important to expose investment economics techniques and get information on cash flow calculations/diagrams early to entrepreneurial heads.

I strongly believe that anyone who wants to be a successful fashion entrepreneur must understand the fashion industry including products, supply chain, production and operations, markets and the consumer. The fashion marketing discipline aims to prepare students for entry-level careers in the fashion business: it aims to impart all of the above knowledge and basic marketing skills. Therefore, the FM discipline can provide the basic knowledge to students who want to become successful fashion entrepreneurs.
I am very interested in fashion entrepreneurship education as well as the process of identifying ideas and establishing fashion entrepreneurs.

It's an opportunity to meet people from other disciplines and make connections outside of my usual environment. Although I am not an entrepreneur, I love following other people's challenges and successes.
The operations management discipline advises on organizing, planning, and improving processes that focus on adding value, which is the goal of every entrepreneur. Data-driven decision-making tools, performance metrics, predictive models, product/service and process planning, capacity decisions, process types and layouts, job planning and measurement, location selection, quality, planning tools such as MRP, inventory, lean manufacturing , supply chain management, schedule and project management. In addition to improvement programs like Six Sigma, entrepreneurs can learn specific tools and performance metrics to help them achieve their business goals.
I believe that the complex issues faced by entrepreneurs can be helped through education and using specific tools like magazines to generate ideas. We discuss the need to measure and improve performance such as competitiveness and productivity in operations management, number of defects, on-time delivery. Metrics allow us to make data-driven decisions. Improvement can then be achieved through cyclical, step-by-step processes such as Six Sigma. Therefore, I would like to propose a circular, improve-build-learn approach for entrepreneurs. It's one of my favorite topics, but there are others that deal with international sourcing, cultural differences (guanxi and face in China), and specifically quality issues.

The field of nutrition and nutrition enables students to look at food in a new way. Food is medicine, love is food, food is survival.
