Unf Calendar Holidays 2023 – UNF now offers a way to plan your classes smarter and faster! Osprey Course Scheduler, a new registration system available through MyWings, allows you to view multiple class schedule options and choose the one that best suits your needs. And it's in about 10 minutes – how convenient is that?
Simply select the campus where you want to take classes (main, MOCA Jacksonville, one of the local medical centers for internships, etc.), select your courses, and then you will be presented with sample schedules to choose from. You can also add breaks to your day for work, study or exercise.

The software helps eliminate filler classes by better enabling you to find classes that apply to a degree. This means you will graduate and move toward your career goals even faster.

Instructor: Caleb Westby is a composer, saxophonist and specialist in popular and electronic music. His research interests include how social and historical events have influenced rock and pop trends, as well as how technology has shaped these genres. Westby holds a PhD and currently lectures at the University of California, Merced teaching recording and studio techniques and producing electronic music. They also integrate the field of music technology. In his free time, the Westby Faculty Rock Band plays in the upper corner of G Street.

Instructor: Lauren Anderson practiced law in California for two and a half years before changing careers and has spent the past 12 years in local government and higher education. As an attorney, he has written amicus curiae briefs for cases before the United States Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Anderson is the former director of OLLI in Utah.

Felicia Bornstein Lubliner is a Polish survivor of the Nazi concentration camps Auschwitz and Gross-Rosen. She wrote and spoke publicly about her experiences with the Holocaust. Immerse yourself in the transcripts of Felicia's written stories and oral presentations published in the book "Only Hope: A Survivor's Stories of the Holocaust." Each story is read by the teacher or students with a book. You share your feedback, questions and insights. Discuss the historical context and lessons of the period, the universal human responses the stories evoke, and the relevance of the theme to the challenges we face in modern times.
Instructor: Irv Lubliner teaches math, blues harmonica, and literature classes for OLLI at Southern Oregon University (SOU). A SOU professor emeritus specializing in mathematics education, he has taught for 40 years (at all levels, kindergarten through graduate school), led teacher seminars in 39 states, and given more than 350 conference presentations, including several keynote addresses. In 2019, Lubliner founded Felabra Press and published his mother's writings about her experiences during the Holocaust. This book is the subject of this course.

January is National Personal Self-Defense Awareness Month. When we think of self-defense, the first thing that comes to mind is physical aggression and the use of weapons. However, Dr. Richmond Wynn introduces and explains what psychological self-defense is and when to use it.

The concept of portfolio living is an attractive and purposeful way of thinking about life after retirement, in extended middle age. You can choose to create a balanced mix of work, study, leisure, healthy living, family time and giving back according to your priorities and goals. Retirement used to be deferred for liquidation. Today has the potential to be one of your most meaningful and passionate years. It's time to truly be yourself, find new ways to contribute to society and live life to the fullest. This workshop aims to help you create your own portfolio life plan through lectures and introspection, as well as small and large group discussions.
