Trinity University Academic Calendar 2023 – The leadership of Trinity University (Yaba, Lagos) announced that it started working in the 2018/2019 academic year with seven students, six teachers and five assistant professors.
The secretary of the university, Mr. Jide Shoaga, told NAN in Lagos that the institution started its work on May 20.

Shoaga said that the National University Commission (NUC) has approved the start of 15 courses in the institution, including only the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences.

He said Professor Ayo Charles, a former vice chancellor of Covenant University (Otta), has been appointed the vice chancellor of the institution.
According to him, the position of vice-rector took office on May 20, at the same time as the start of the scientific activity, and will be introduced later.
"We started with seven students, but as of June 15 we have 14 students for admission for 2018/2019 and by the grace of God we will end the December session.

He said the university has two NUC-approved campuses, the City Campus, Yaba, and the Mega Campus, located in Lalopa Village, Ogun.
Shoaga added that the mega campus is located on 510 hectares of land and is intended for students in engineering, medical, pharmaceutical and agricultural specialties.
He said the institution makes life easier for parents because they can pay twice per semester and the house is cheap.

"There are no disruptions to learning because our students and teachers are on the ground and everything is fine.
"In the Faculty of Science, we have programs like Computer Science and Information Technology where we have students.
"We have students from the Faculty of Arts, Economics and Social Sciences, most of them specialize in mass communications.

"We have microbiology students; we have six teachers and five associate professors, and VK himself is a teacher," he said.
Shoaga said the university can accommodate about 4,000 students, adding that a patient transportation unit, male and female dormitories, and stable electricity and water supply are also available.
He urged parents who could not get into any federal or state institution to enroll their children in Trinity University.

"We urge parents to allow their children to attend Trinity University if they cannot enroll in federal or state universities," the registrar said. The university campus is known for its inspiring, inventive and collaborative environment – in the classroom, on campus and around the world.
