Swarthmore 2023 Calendar
Swarthmore 2023 Calendar – We look forward to welcoming you back to campus when you are ready to return and clear to return. This website describes the return ("re-admission") process that most students complete successfully.

All students approved for return will be enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) by default. Each year, all returning students (continuing and entering) must submit proof of health insurance to the Student Health Center. This applies even if your insurance is the same as last year. Students can opt out of the plan if they meet college requirements and provide proof of insurance. Additional information can be found on the Student Health and Wellbeing website.
Please note that if you study abroad through the Office of Off-Campus Studies, this does not count as a "sabbatical leave". To ensure important deadlines and required procedures are met, you should contact Off-Campus Study Office staff when registering for an approved study abroad program or returning from study abroad through the Off-Campus Study Office.

In general, students returning from a leave of absence must be successfully readmitted to the College and then complete at least one semester at the College before being approved for the next semester abroad.
