Miller-Tomlinson told the board that public requests are being made by email and through personal statements given to the board in a legal notice published on Friday, April 16. According to district officials, more than 230 people have sent responses to the district via email. Option A had the support of 61 respondents and 25 respondents chose Option B. Some asked not to make changes to the calendar, some responses suggested that the district consider an annual calendar. Other responses showed no preference for either option. Many of the emails requested that the district keep the current calendar without an extension.

Respondents included 73 teachers, 126 parents and 13 people who identified themselves as teachers and parents. Others said they were community members.
