Dollywood's opening day for the 2022 season is March 12 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Although their opening date was announced, it was never changed. We always recommend checking with Dollywood prior to vacation plans and reservations.

Dollywood 2023 Operating Calendar

While Dollywood has not announced any new attractions for 2022, they are being added to popular festivals throughout the year.

Big Bear Mountain Breaks Records For Dollywood

The Flower and Food Festival will resume from April 22 to June 5 with musical cultural shows and a menu full of new flavors.

The Smoky Mountain Summer Festival kicks off June 18 through August 7 with a spectacular nightly drone and fireworks display and the return of the guest favorite Gazillion Bubble Show.

The Harvest Festival will be held from September 23rd to October 29th for the Great Pumpkin Lumi Nights from September 23rd to 29th, featuring the new Hot Owl Hollow light show and performances by upcoming artists.

March April May – working days 10:00 – 19:00 (Saturday and Sunday 20:00). The park is closed on Easter Sunday (April 9) and every Tuesday from April 11 to May 30.

June and July: Open daily. Open from 10am to 8pm from 1st to 16th June. The park is open from June 17 to August 6 until 21:30.

Dollywood's Splash Country Water Adventure Park (pigeon Forge)

August 7 – September 21: Closing times vary, check schedule. The park is mostly closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

11 November to 6 January 2024: The park opens on 11 November and is open from 11am to 9pm. The park is closed on many days, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so check the schedule before booking.

The park adds 15 days to the schedule; spread throughout the year. It's time to ride all the exciting beaches and catch all the shows on tap.

Dollywood's Splash Country Water Adventure Park (pigeon Forge)

Fifty years ago, Dolly wrote the song "I'll Always Love You." The song was named after the singer's new album I Will Always Love You Celebration. Famous singers and songwriters will headline, while up-and-coming artists will share their work.

April 21 to June 11: Flower and Food Festival. Thousands of flowers bloom in stunning displays in every section as the chefs prepare the best dishes in the smoke house.

June 17 – August 6: Tropical Mountain Summer Festival. Drones and fireworks light up the sky. The Sweet Summer Nights Dance Party features DJs spinning tunes while dancers lead everyone through exciting moves.

Dollywood's "big" addition in 2023 is the addition of Big Bear Mountain. Big Bear Mountain is Dollywood's newest and longest running attraction. The family ride is nearly 4,000 feet long, features onboard audio, and promises to thrill guests with a giant bear ride through Wildwood Grove and rolling hills. Big Bear Mountain is scheduled to open in the spring of 2023. You can find out about the new attraction here.

Dollywood Announces What's New In 2023

Not only is Dollwood growing, but so is their action calendar. Dollywood has announced that they will be adding 15 dates to their 2023 action calendar. More dates are coming throughout the year, meaning guests can enjoy even more of what the 2023 season has to offer.

Dollywood pays tribute to one of Dolly Parton's most famous songs. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of "I'll Always Love You," Dollywood is hosting a special event. The festival "I always love you" will be held from March 11 to April 8.

Launching this spring, the festival celebrates the art of songwriting and the stories behind the songs. In addition to celebrating Dolly's iconic status as a songwriter; The event also recognizes several popular singer/songwriters who are headlining the festival. Unique designs and delicious dishes will also be presented at the festival.

The Flower and Food Festival (April 21 – June 4) returns with musical cultural shows and larger sculptures. The festival will feature a range of dishes highlighting the flavors of spring.

Smoky Mountain Summer Festival (June 17-August 6) with crowd favorites Sweet Summer Night's Drone and Fireworks Show and the gazillion bubble show Aurora. The Hydro Geo Junction and Bubble Foam Zone liquid lures are also returning in 2023.

The Harvest Festival (September 22 – November 4) features thousands of carved pumpkins; It returns with exciting performances by talented singers and great pumpkin pumpkin nights.

Smoky Mountain Christmas (Nov. 11-Jan. 6) Six million lights; It will return in 2023 with festive holiday displays and a cozy Christmas atmosphere.

Dollywood has three 2023 season pass options. The three tiers of the Season Pass are Silver, Gold and Diamonds. Dollywood also offers military discounts on season tickets.
