On Wednesday night, Colorado Springs School District 11 formalized what officials have been thinking about since Election Day 2016: It will once again turn to voters for funding. The county's largest school district board of directors unanimously agreed to place a $42 million measure on the ballot that would raise annual property taxes by about $3.75 per month for every $100,000 of property value -property. The Board announced its intention to do so in June. The money will allow the district to renovate and refurbish schools, increase teacher and support staff salaries, add counselors, nurses and social workers, reduce class sizes, improve technology, and improve safety.
