Alpine District Calendar 2023 24 – The Alpine School District calendar for the 2022-2023 holiday season has been released and is now available for viewing. Answer: May 25, 2023 is the last day of school in Alpine County. This date may change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. However, students and staff can expect the last day of school to be held on that day without any changes. The Rapides Parish School Board will begin voting on four options for the 2023-24 school year. The council will decide which option it will approve at the February 7 meeting.

School System To Consider Early 2023 24 Start Despite State Law
The school board will vote on the options on February 7. In recent years, the council has chosen the option that received the most votes as a result of its survey.
School officials have been able to vote on the options since last month, and Jonathan Garrett, executive assistant for curriculum and instruction, said changes were made to the options based on teacher input.
Garrett said the survey received 287 responses from 1,500 school employees. Since some changes were made based on staff suggestions, Garrett said he expects more feedback next year.

On the traditional calendar, students return to class on August 7. The last day for students is May 17, 2024.
The mid-August calendar moves the first day of classes for students to August 14, while the late August version puts classes on August 21.
Utah School Calendars
The balanced version of the calendar, which has been unsuccessful for the past two years, will begin on August 7. School runs year-round except for July, and there are more breaks during the school year.
When balanced choice was first proposed, Superintendent Jeff Powell described it as a way to keep students more informed. He said those who need remediation in the course can get it right after school instead of waiting for summer school.
These four options allow students to attend classes for 171 days. Teachers worked with all options for 182 days.
