I love teaching entrepreneurship because students come up with amazing inventions and then build businesses around them. I like the quote from Homer (the philosopher, not Bart's father) and Steve Jobs: "The journey is the reward." It is my privilege to guide students to not only learn business ownership, but to build something, be it a prototype, a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), or a company. Being on campus provides a safety net for students to fail quickly and lose their ideas.
Articles About Seattle University
I enjoy teaching because the students bring so much energy and enthusiasm to learning, and I am often inspired by optimism. My teaching also reflects the topics that inspire me; detailed process design in our industrial engineering program, health care development as a Health Systems Innovation Certificate, and exploring the implications of practical excellence in our MBA program.

Professor Shah has a background in marketing and currently teaches marketing at a business school. He has diverse industry experience in marketing/brand management functions of medium and large companies in consumer goods, retail and real estate positions. In academic life, he wants to play the role of researcher (knowledge creation) and teacher (knowledge dissemination). His research questions seek to explain and understand interesting and challenging marketing phenomena that have not received much research attention in the context of discovery.
It provides an environment that values teaching and research, which suits me. I love teaching because students want to learn and are willing to work hard. My teaching focuses on how business, healthcare and non-profit organizations can get the most out of computer technologies such as database systems, electronic health records and mobile applications. Students in my class learn to design computer applications that meet the needs of organizations. The recycling program includes paper, cardboard, plastic #1-#7 (almost all), glass, batteries, used electronics and parts, lighting, ballasts, books, and excess (Giant items such as furniture). For information about off-campus waste, see the Waste Management Recycling Guide and Fact Sheet (PDF). Electronics storage bins are located in most academic buildings, ask where the main office is located.

Project Clean Plate is usually held in Section A and is a raffle where food waste free people can try to win prizes at the Morgan Hall POD. This data was collected during the 2018 B period by the Green Team and the Waste Management POD during Project Clean Plate activities.
RecycleMania is a national recycling competition between colleges and universities. This year, more than 300 colleges in 43 states joined the friendly competition, recycling more than 48 million pounds of waste. They competed in three categories: Diversion, Personal Classic and Food Waste. After an eight-week period from February 1 to March 31, following a five-week Covid-ordered curfew, the results showed a conversion rate of 45% (40th among all establishments). The classic per capita recycling rate is 9.86 pounds per person (ranking 42nd among all institutions), and Stanford University earned first place in the food waste category.

In cooperation with the Green Team, the annual waste audit enables a review of the recycling of university buildings. Last year's Waste Audit (2018-2019) analyzed the Campus Center's waste.

We divert as much waste as possible, burn most of our waste for energy, send food waste to the local pig farmer, collect unused food and donate it through the food recycling network, and send recyclables. For plant processing.

The Green Team helps organize the annual e-waste collection organized together with the Office of Sustainability to divert electronics from landfills.
