Bay Mills Community College Scholarships and Grants are part of the Bay Mills Community College Financial Aid Program. The Financial Aid Office publishes information about AICF grants/scholarships at the beginning of each semester, and the student is responsible for completing an online application through the American Indian Student Fund.

Board of Trustees Awards (BOR) are funded to all eligible students who meet the eligibility requirements and meet the following guidelines:

Any student who earns less than a 2.0 grade point average at the end of the year will be placed on probation and have one academic year to bring their GPA up to 2.0. If a student does not achieve a 2.0 during the probationary period, they will not be accepted until their cumulative GPA meets the 2.0 requirement.

Students who receive a BOR award are still required to pay other costs, such as books and fees.

Robin R. Memorial Scholarship Bedell was founded by his family after his death from COVID-19 in 2021. The COVID-19 virus. Robin's family and friends wanted to honor Robin's memory by establishing a scholarship in his name to commemorate his dedication to his family.

Robin was loved by all who knew her. Robin believed in education and, along with working at Bay Mills Community College, was an active member of the Brimley School Board of Education for 18 years. He loved helping all students, especially students. Robin was a friendly person, looked for the best in people and often had an interesting story or story to share. Soo Co-op Credit Union is offering a $1,500 scholarship to a Bay Mills Community College student. Students must be members of the Soo Co-op Credit Union, be enrolled as a full-time student, have a minimum GPA of 2.75 and submit a transcript. Applications can be obtained at any Soo Co-op Credit Union branch or online at the Soo Co-op Credit Union website.

Native American scholarship services from non-profit organizations serving Native Americans across the country. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist Native Americans in obtaining a quality education while preserving their culture and honoring their heritage. Apply online for BIS Scholarship.

The federal Pell Grant program is a student aid program designed to provide financial assistance to university students to help pay for their college education. Federal Pell aid is also the foundation upon which all other student aid (federal, state, corporate, and private) is built. Pell eligibility is determined from the FAFSA.

The purpose of the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant is to provide grants to low-income students to help pay for post-secondary education. It is for graduate students only and is free. The maximum reward is $100. To receive this funding, students must be eligible for a Pell grant.

Michigan Enterprise may occasionally offer federal and state grants to provide tuition-related financial assistance for eligible residents of Chippewa, Luce, and Mackinac counties. Michigan's goal is to prepare the student immediately after graduation. Because eligibility requirements vary, students should contact Michigan Careers to see what programs are available.

The Tuition Assistance Program (TIP) is an incentive program that encourages high school graduates to receive tuition assistance during their first two years of college and beyond. To receive financial aid, a student must have (or have had) Medicaid coverage for 24 months out of a 36-month period as determined by the Michigan Department of Human Services (DHS). TIP provides assistance in two phases. Part I covers tuition and fees for eligible students enrolled in a full-credit or degree program at a Michigan community college, public university, private degree-granting college, or accredited college. WOCTEP is part of the Education Division of the Odawa Indian Minority Band of Traverse Bay (LTBB) and is funded in part by the Native American Vocational and Technical Education Administration of the US Department of Education. The WOCTEP grant is open to ethnic and non-ethnic students, any student can apply. Eligible students may receive tuition assistance, tuition, fees, required course materials and textbooks, online reimbursement, exam/certification fees, and laptops. Federal and state grants (including Pell Grants and scholarships) must be applied to the student's account before WOCTEP can be requested.

Students may pick up applications from the Financial Aid Office and upon completion, the information will be forwarded to the Program Director, LTBB. Graduate students with other forms of financial aid, including Pell grants, may also be eligible. The purpose of the work study program is to provide short-term work opportunities to students who have demonstrated financial need and are eligible for financial aid. Bay Mills Community College students must apply through the Human Resources Department. Financial aid and employability are evaluated to determine if a student meets educational requirements.
